Hey!!! It’s Andrea Harrison, “The Bling Slingerrrrr!” Coach, Writer, Inspirational Speaker, Purpose Pusher, Comfort Zone Disrupter, Entrepreneur, Daughter, Wife, Mother, Friend, Paparazzi Independent Consultant, and just a fun-loving, loyal, loud, BLING loving girl from the Bronx who only wants to make God smile!
As a former Paralegal for over 25 years, I’ve leveraged my experience in Corporate America to build a successful brand in the Network Marketing Industry; and I coach other women to do the same.
Joining Paparazzi Accessories in 2017, initially only for the discount, to then becoming a BLING BOSS (clocking over 100k in team commission); I think it’s safe to say that I have found incredible value in this opportunity.
Over four years in slinging bling, I love everything about what I do.
I remember when I was a little girl, growing up in New York City, my Jamaican family lived in a two-story brick house on a tree-lined street in the Bronx. I spent most of my days in my “play area” which was the entire basement. I had invisible students and customers. When I wasn’t teaching, I was gathering all my clothing and toys, tagging them and selling them in my pretend store to my pretend customers.
At 11 years old, my mother and I spent 3 months in Jamaica. I clearly remember making jewelry, specifically bracelets, fluffy girl friendly, of course; out of the coconut leaves and selling them in front of my grandfather’s house in Buffbay, Portland.
Before joining Paparazzi, I started my own Event Décor tablescape business. I enjoyed the creative aspect of it, but often remember desperately wishing I had a product that was a set price, and I could just sell as much of it as I wanted to!
I learned about Paparazzi through my, at the time, 11-year-old daughter Madison. Together we hosted a vision board party where she invited over 25 mother and daughter duos to attend. This was birthed out of the photography business she started when she was 7 years old, where she photographed little girls and their dolls, focusing especially on foster children. She wanted to take photos of them in their childhood that they could cherish for years to come.
Madison’s tenacity, determination and strong belief in herself, her ability to succeed, and as a result of a great deal of media exposure; she went on to photograph the President of the United States, President Barack Obama in 2016. This venture landed her on the Season Premiere of The Steve Harvey Show, featured in his segment, ‘Extraordinary Kids’. This experience inspired me to want more out of life for myself.
When you give God something to work with, He will put you in position to be a blessing to others. Which leads me to where I am in this journey.
I had no intention of selling jewelry or building a team when I joined this company, however I said YES to GOD and HE implemented His plan. Very soon after joining, I found value in the business. Everywhere I went and everyone I met, complimented me and wanted to purchase the jewelry I was wearing. I thought to myself, if I am selling the jewelry and I’m not even trying, what would happen if I tried; so I started to live my Paparazzi life out loud!
Andrea, I really enjoyed your article. It was very inspirational and encouraging to me. Thanks for letting God use you to bring hope and encouragement to others.
Love & Blessing Always.
